As of the final VMware vExpert list, just posted on the VMTN blog, I’m a vExpert for 2012!

I just wanted to put something out to thank VMware for such a great honor. I’m truly grateful to be grouped with some of the greatest names in virtualization today. I’m still a little stunned, to be honest.
Thanks especially to John Mark Troyer and Alex Maier at VMware for the all the work they do for the VMware community. I’m always amazed at how well the VMware community holds up and the quality of the groups, meetings, and events compared to others in the industry.

There was, however, a stnorg feeling that it should be possible to sit the exam (or at least book it) before the year is out.I certainly hope so! Right now, I have passed my VCP5 exam, and I have no way of moving forward the VCAP5 exams are not out yet, and the VCAP4 exams require VCP4 (VCP5 is not a valid prerequisite). Also, I cannot take the VCP4 exam and move on from there the vSphere 5 ICM course is not a valid prerequisite for that exam.So I have to keep waiting for the new exams
